As lead producer for the Iconography Team on the Visual Systems team it was my responsibility to help ensure our mission to provide creative direction and design dynamic product experiences that defined the personality of Facebook through expressive imagery, motion, and a unified visual language.

Care Reaction
As the lead producer for the Care reaction project, I am proud to present a case study that highlights the successful introduction of the Care reaction. Our team of talented designers, engineers, and content strategists came together with a shared vision: to provide users with a meaningful and genuine way to express care, empathy, and support beyond traditional reactions. Through meticulous planning, iterative design processes, and cross-functional collaboration, we overcame numerous challenges to deliver a feature that resonated with our diverse global user base. This case study showcases the commitment to innovation, user-centricity, and the transformative power of compassion in a time of unprecedented global circumstances.

FB Emoji System
From March 2018 through April 2023 led production for the Facebook Emoji system, managing and producing the design and engineering for the annual releases. The Facebook Emoji system was used within Several planforms and product systems at Meta.

Sat on the Emoji Subcommittee as Facebooks representative for Unicode Emoji along side several other major vendors to decide the future of emoji and upcoming releases.

May the 4th Stickers
Lead Design Producer for 10 Star Wars expression stickers, which included Chewbacca, R2-D2, and C-3PO, and characters from the new animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch on Disney+.

Core Iconography
The core icon system was the base glyph iconography for the Facebook app. The entire library consisted of over 1700 icons. As lead producer I would triage, manage, and track and produce all incoming requests. These requests, on average amounted to working with 100+ individual product teams and 200+ new icon requests each half.

Expressive Iconography
The Expressive System focused on elevating key aspects of the product experience through the lens of brand, color, vibrancy, youthfulness, and rich expressive animation features. As producer on these projects I was able to push boundaries and expectations in new ways for the user through user research and testing.

User Signals Iconography
The User Signals Systems covered a vast array of products and features within the app from utilitarian labels or full screens animated take overs for paid awards. As design producer for these projects it was crucial to understand the nuances of all our systems and how they intertwined together in a cohesive manner.
